We've officially crossed the finish line of the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge!

This moment has been in the works for a very long time and it is an amazing feeling to stand at the finish line and have done it. Still it will take some time before we can truly comprehend this moment.

This race was a true test of endurance, pushing every material and component to its absolute limit. In the harsh conditions of the Australian outback, from relentless sun to strong winds and even heavy rain on the very last race day, every single element of our solar car, Silvretta, was put to the test. That's why today we want to give a special thank you to our sponsor, Sika. Their materials were essential for us to build a car that was not only stable but also incredibly aerodynamic. For this the aerodynamics of the car is a key point for which the shape and airtightness of the car is very important. To keep the connection between Solardeck and Aeroshell airtight we relied on Sikaflex-521UV.

Once again, when something was laying on the road, that scratched up our car chassis and left a whole in the structure hundreds of kilometers from civilization, SikaForce came to our rescue. Thanks to the incredibly fast-drying and strong adhesive properties of SikaForce-490 L03 Silvretta was ready for the road again the next morning. This ability to have a strong, trustworthy adhesive on hand gave us the confidence to push our car to its limits, even after an emergency repair. Thank you, Sika, for being a fundamental part of our success.

Now we will take a moment to reflect on our own challenges, successes, and lessons learned to move out of this even stronger. To everyone who took on this challenge, we want to congratulate! Whether you team was able to complete the challenge or not, we all gained valuable experience and achieved a lot before and during the race. A big thank you to this supportive community!
